That is what the front clasp is for. Closing at the centre front means band tension terminates in the middle rather than wrapping around the back, so the cups are drawn toward each other instead of pulled apart.

How much the gap closes depends on how wide your roots sit. Nothing eliminates a very wide root entirely. But this is the only direction of pull that works on it, and most bras do not pull that way at all.

Yes, but band size is what does it. The bra grips through ribbed non-slip panels at the sides and a non-slip lining across the back, and all of that only works if the band sits snug against your skin. A loose band will slide on any strapless bra ever made. Check the sizing answer below before you order.

This bra runs small. If you are between two sizes, go up. That is the most common note we get.

A fitting solves band and cup volume. It does not change where your breasts are rooted on your chest wall, and root width is what creates the gap.

There is no underwire at all. The cups are a soft foam that presses down and springs back. The band is meant to feel snug, because that is what holds a strapless bra up, but it should not dig. If it does, the band is too small.

Machine wash cold in a lingerie bag on gentle, or hand wash in cool water with mild detergent. Reshape the cups and lay flat to dry.

Skip the dryer, wringing and fabric softener. Heat and twisting break down the foam cups and the non-slip grip over time.
